چکیده

Background: Green gram being an important legume crop, its rooting traits and nodule characteristics are vital in determining overall productivity. Land configuration plays a crucial role influencing the root growth green gram. Judicious use of balanced nutrients fertilizers is needed owing to sustainability concern environment also for optimising production process. Methods: Field experiments were carried out at Agronomy Main Research Farm, O.U.A.T. Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India during 2020 2021 study effect different land methods varying nutrient management practices on growth, uptake yield summer mung. Split-plot Design was adopted with three replications having four main plot 6 sub-plot treatments. Result: The outcomes experiment showed that raised bed method PDM-139 cultivar gave highest pooled length (13.1 cm), dry weight (1.52 g) shoot: ratio (6.83). F6 treatment synonymous results (12.16 cm length, 1.53 g weight). Similar trend observed number nodules (15.48 nodules/plant) fresh (25.50 under configuration, variety (16.61 nodules/plant, 25.50 respectively. total grain straw nitrogen, phosphorous potassium found be flat-bed cultivar. result revealed sowing PDM 139 along practice based STCR equations (F6) significantly produced more (522.84 kg/ha 455.29 respectively) than other there positive correlation between respective N, P2O5 K2O uptakes.

Corn yield and yield stability under varying nutrient management, crop rotation, and rainfall

Long-term yield performance and yield stability of common cropping systems needs to be simultaneously assessed at various fertility regimes. Based on a consecutive 19-year field trial, including eight fertilization treatments with different combinations of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K) and recycled manure (RM), the effects of fertilization and crop rotation on corn (Zea mays L.) y...

Imazethapyr Effects on Soil Enzyme Activity and Nutrient Uptake by Weeds and Greengram (Vigna radiata L.)

Imazethapyr is a broad spectrum herbicide used as early post-emergence in pulses, oilseeds and leguminous crops. Imazethapyr is an imidazole compound used as a selective herbicide. The compound controls weeds by reducing the levels of three branched-chain aliphatic amino acids, isoleucine, leucine and valine, through the inhibition of aceto-lactate synthase (ALS), an enzyme common to the biosyn...

Seed Yield of Mungbean (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek) in relation to Growth and Developmental Aspects

Growth parameters such as leaf area (LA), total dry mass (TDM) production, crop growth rate (CGR), relative growth rate (RGR), and net assimilation rate (NAR) were compared in six varieties of mungbean under subtropical condition (24°8' N 90°0' E) to identify limiting growth characters for the efficient application of physiology breeding for higher yields. Results revealed that a relatively sma...

Stimulated fine root growth benefits maize nutrient uptake under optimized nitrogen management

Optimized nitrogen (N) management reduces total N application without sacrificing cropyield. However, the underlining mechanisms have not been well investigated, especially lackingthe evidence from roots. Here we performed a two-year field experiment with maize grownunder zero-N, conventional N and optimized N applications and examined grain yield, N,phosphorous (P) and potassium (K) uptake and...

L-tryptophan Application Enhances the Effectiveness of Rhizobium Inoculation for Improving Growth and Yield of Mungbean (vigna Radiata (l.) Wilczek)

Rhizobium inoculation has successfully been used for improving growth and yield of legume crops in different parts of the world. L-Tryptophan (L-TRP) application may further improve its effectiveness due to substrate-dependent inoculum-derived auxins in the rhizosphere. Rhizobium phaseoli strains were isolated using dilution plate technique from the mung bean nodules. Auxin biosynthesis by thes...
